About United for America

During this time, millions of Americans across the country are experiencing unforeseen hardships as the critical systems they rely on have been stretched thin. As a purpose-driven company that believes in making sustainable living commonplace, Unilever — makers of Dove, Knorr, Hellmann’s, and more — knows it is our responsibility to do all that we can to ensure that Americans can thrive now and in the future.

United for America is a movement, ignited by Unilever, to unite with retail partners and nonprofits to help our hardest-hit communities recover, rebuild, and reimagine their futures. In addition to a $25 million donation in goods and services and a Day of Service in May of 2020, we have made a commitment to serve and empower our nation’s front line aid organizations and support systems, ensuring that the individuals, families, and vulnerable populations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic get the help they need. But it’s more than just a commitment. It’s a promise to remain United for America.

What we’re doing now

United for America has expanded support to 10 individual communities across the country whose vulnerable communities have been hit hardest. From Southern California to Houston to Minneapolis, we’re partnering with local retailers and nonprofits to provide care to those who need it most.

Our Impact

Thanks to our many partners, we’ve provided funds, meals, and other essential services to millions in need. These are just the first steps on a long road ahead:
